职位描述
Responsibilities/:
* Project Manager shall keep in mind the general over-all criteria of a successful project and try to do his/her best to promote all these criteria:
- Project keeps its investment budget
- Project keeps its time schedule
- Trouble-free start-up of the plant
- The targeted production and quality of the product will be achieved soon after start-up
- The plant will be designed keeping in mind good accessibility as well as economical and stable operation in the long run
- The planned P?yry internal economical result will be achieved
- In every respect satisfied client for P?yry work and services remains after the project
Duties connected to internal economical results
- Prepares the initial contract proposal and assures that all revisions that have been made during sales negotiations are included. Makes sure that the key persons have understood it right
- Prepares all revisions to the scope of work
- Prepares and discusses all change orders with the client
- Checks and approves the manhour budget for the project obtaining the manhours from Line Managers
- Agrees with the Client on the procurement policy and schedule. Leads and supervises the procurement actions, making sure that the agreed policy and schedule is followed
- Co-ordinates engineering time schedules of the equipment suppliers to the engineering time schedule of project. Prepares the time schedules for technical data, documents and drawings for supplier contracts
- Controls and expedites that technical information and decisions from suppliers, other engineering parties and client will be received (made in time for our own engineering)
- Checks the invoices before they will be sent to the client and gives special instructions if necessary
- Clears out with Client reasons for eventual delay of payments from the client
- Checks and approves the subconsultants' contract terms prepared by Line Management to fit them into P?yry's main contract
- Whenever a deviation of the project time schedule or engineering cost budget occurs, consults Line Managers and agrees about actions
- Checks that the people recording their hours to the project are relevant. The Engineering Cost Control system provides a list for weekly check-up. In case of disagreement he gets in touch with the corresponding Line Manager.
* Duties connected to client relationship
- Reviews with the Sales and Legal Departments the terms of the contract and all revisions that have been made to the bid during negotiations so that the Client's requirements subsequent to the initial bid presentation are known and understood
- Is continuously in touch with the Client's Project Manager in order to give him a comprehensive picture of P?yry Company's activities and to find out any signs of dissatisfaction in the Client
- Compiles data from the project team and project accounting department and prepares the monthly reports
- Takes any action withinhis/her authority in order to secure a successful start-up
- Follows up the project until the Client is fully satisfied and all possible claims have been settled.
* Coordination work
- Takes responsibility of overall coordination of the project, e.g.
- coordinates the engineering and deliveries of the client himself, suppliers and eventual other consultants
- guides the operation and activities of other parties so that it fits to our normal project management by informing other parties in advance of our ways of working
- keep an eye and draw client's attention also to matters between the suppliers, in order to avoid responsibility and delivery gaps
- Guides the preparation of time schedules
- Guides and approves the preparation of project instructions
- Reviews the construction management procedures in order to check that they fit into the overall project procedures
- Supervises and supports the Construction Manager in the construction, commissioning and start-up phases especially securing the availability of engineering documents and engineering specialists.
Internal supervision and reporting
- Informs Line Management about the changes in the need of resources
- Signs outgoing project letters according to valid instructions in office handbook
- Prepares personally weekly report and internal monthly report
- Reports personally in the Managements Project follow-up meeting on request
- Checks the back-up information for monthly reports and prepares the narrative of the report to the Client and P?yry Management
Qualifications/<>< b="">:
- Education: Bachelor degree or above.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Pulp & Paper industry preferably or other industry.
- It is preferably that sound knowledge and experience in engineering, project planning and project execution.
- Language skills: Good verbal and written English skills are a must.
- International working experience is seen as a major advantage.
- Computer skills: Solid computer skills mastering basics in Microsoft office.
- Team player, having good communication and coordination skills.
- Creativity/problem solving , flexibility, delegation skills , cool under pressure.
