PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for ensuring that the Company's operations in China comply with local laws, applicable U.S.
and international laws, and Tyson's Code of Conduct.
2. Act as trusted advisor on diverse legal issues to all levels in Tyson China.
3. Provide legal services including negotiating, structuring, and drafting a broad range of agreements;
management of litigation and claims; employment and labor matters; tax matters; regulatory matters; and a
broad range of other matters including general corporate, commercial transaction, sales, marketing,
operations, finance, etc.
4. Establish and maintain effective business and legal relationships with clients and governing bodies.
5. Work with Tyson Corporate to develop various policies, procedures and governance documents.
6. Provide training on key corporate policies, including Anti-corruption and Anti-trust.
7. Assist Corporate Legal with M&A projects in China.
8. Perform other special assignments or projects as assigned by Corporate Legal.

KEY COMPETENCIES & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
1. 3 - 5 years practicing at law firm and/or as in-house legal counsel.
2. Robust practical experience of dealing with legal issues under China's dynamic but complex business
environment.
3. A self-starter who can fulfill legal department's mission in China independently and thrive in a fast-paced,
ever changing environment.
4. Sound business judgment and legal risk analysis.
5. Team player with customer oriented mindset.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Basic English skills preferred, but not required
7. Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills, and ability to provide appropriate solutions to
complex legal issues that allow business leaders to meet objectives.
8. Excellent analytical and writing skills
9. Must be hands on with ability to work with minimal administrative support.
