Job Location - CHONGQING, CHINA

Microsoft China Delivery Center (CDC) is consulting & services arm of Microsoft. As a test consultant one of your key responsibilities would be to design automation framework using VSTS/CodedUI & C#. In this we would be checking your overall experience in any automation tool (QTP, Selenium etc.) & any Object oriented language (C++, Java etc.). Another key area that we would evaluate is your experience in Non-functional testing (performance, scalability, usability etc.) & test strategy, estimation & test planning.

Note - Although this role expects you to be conversant in both automation test design & development, the designation would not be SDET.

- Knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle & Software Test Life Cycle methodology
- Strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills
- Understand customer environment and define business requirements with the engagement stake holders
- Develop Test Automation design document
- Deliver engagements as an test lead, individual contributor and technical subject matter expert for large complex engagements
- On-going Advice (Knowledge Transfer) to the Customer and Partners
- Prepare documentation as required
- Good at Core Testing Concepts
- Experience involving Effort Estimation, Scheduling, Risk Management concepts
- Experience in Test Strategy Definition, Test Planning, Test Design Concepts
- Expertise in Test Automation tools & frame works
- Knowledge in Non-Functional Testing Concepts & Tools
- API Testing / Web Service Testing / SDK Testing experience
- Partial Development Experience on Microsoft Platform preferable
- Good to have - understanding of Build / Packaging, Virtualization kind of basic concepts
- Preferred - experience in pre-sales

Skillset requirements:
- Testing concepts
- Experience in .Net, C# programming language
- Experience in SQL DB Technologies
- Test Management using standard Industry tools
- Test harness / Drivers / Stubs development
- Test Automation & Framework Design
- Toolkit / Framework testing
- Deployment / Configurations of Web / App / Integration Servers
- VSTS & TFS 2010

Educational Qualification:
- Must have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience. Higher relevant education preferred.
- Highly proficient & solid Customer facing Project experience involving solution design, project envisioning, planning, development/migration and deployment in one of the areas mentioned in Section II
- Must have a proven record of delivering technical solutions
- At least 3-5 years of related technology experience
- Having a MCSD/MCSE//MCAD/PMP certification is a plus.

Must Have:
The candidate should have had prior experience in working in a multi-cultural environment with proven experience in multi-country pre-sales and project delivery along with experience in working with offshore teams.
