THE ROLE
We are seeking to recruit experienced Senior Application Engineers with over six years experience in a similar role, who can lead, manage and inspire project teams to achieve exciting and challenging targets.
All candidates must be good in English and should hold mechanical engineering master degree or above. However an excellent Bachelor holder with plenty of experience and excellent English skill is acceptable as well.
You will be part of a team responsible for technical application.
The following specific tasks will be undertaken under the line manager:
- Work intimately with commercial department, initially understand customer's needs and answer customer's questions. Assist commercial departments for commercial negotiation and sign contracts; take charge of project kick-off meetings.
- Organize and provide software training for customers according to their specific requirements.
- Carrier out project design and analysis work base on requirements from UK office.
- Be responsible for auditing all drawings for projects, understand and follow Romax design and analytical procedures.
- Liaise with customer and Headquarters; help customers to solve their problems, if necessary deliver their problems and requirements to Headquarters during the design process.
- Be responsible for customer supporting including on-site and software supporting.
- To train the potential engineer within team, motivate and coach team members.
- Assist and accompany UK experts to visit domestic clients.
- Ensure milestones of each project to be achieved on time.
A flexible attitude is essential since in addition to design and analytical tasks, you will be expected to assist with project management, project reporting, and to support commercial activities by assisting with proposal preparation.
PERSON REQUIREMENTS
- High integrity character, in line with Romax corporate culture.
- About 10 years working experience.
- Master's Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or similar. (Bachelor holder with plenty of experience and excellent English skill is also acceptable)
- Abundant experience in gear box (including its components) design and analysis, familiar with components' assessment and quality control.
- Knowledge and experience in various gearbox tests.
- Understanding of gearbox manufacturing processes.
- Experienced in the use of 3D modelling, preferably with CATIA.
- Experience of finite element analysis beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
- Strong leadership ability and teamwork spirit, good communication and interpersonal skills essential.
- Good English language skills essential.
