Science Laboratory Technician科学实验室技术员



This position will have the following aim:

To assist the School’s Science staff by providing technical support, ensuring that equipment is functioning properly and ready to use, and that the right materials are available for lessons.
给予科学老师在实验课方面一定的支持，确保实验器械工作正常，实验资源充足。

Accountability To the Co-Principals through the Science SAL and Secondary Coordinator

Responsibilities Provided below are the major responsibilities for this position. From time to time other duties may be deemed necessary and these will be determined by the Co-Principals.

Key Responsibilities 主要职责
Assist the Science Staff with:

1.Laboratory preparations and setups, as well as breakdown and cleanup;
为科学老师的实验课做实验准备，以及实验室器材的故障和清洗。

2. Set up of individual practicals for students engaged in extended experimental investigations in all year levels including senior sciences;
为学生们的实验调查研究，建立单独的实验室准备，从低年级到高年级，包括高中科学。

3.Research and preparation of chemical solutions;
准备和调配科学试剂。

4.Maintenance of inventories, including safety information as well as annual stocktaking;
管理实验室仓库，包括实验室的安全和定期仓库清理。

5. Purchasing of items needed for lessons on a day to day basis;
根据课堂需要，采购实验所需用品。

6.Copying and scanning;
复印和扫描

7. Operation of scientific equipment;
熟练操作实验室器材

8. Ensuring that the laboratories are always neat and tidy, and suitably displayed to enhance a science learning environment;
确保实验室干净整洁，维持实验室整齐的环境。

9. Various school science activities that may occur during the course of the year such as Information Evenings, Science competitions, etc;
支持学校各类活动，比如家长会，科学比赛等。

10.Minor repairs to equipment;
实验室器械的简单维修

11.Conducting demonstrations with senior students on techniques and procedures used in practical investigations when necessary.
在必要时为高年级学生做出适当的实验示范。



Qualifications/

Experience Science Degree/ Laboratory Tech Cert/ Experience as a Lab Assistant.

4.Able to work as a member of a team;

5. Able to effectively communicate with senior management, staff, students and parents and other visitors to the School.
有较好的沟通能力，能和同事，领导以及学校访客进行良好的沟通。

6.Written and spoken competence in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
能用中英文写作和沟通。
