Job Summary | |
The People Advisor serves as an advisor/coach to line managers and career counselors on people related matters to enable them to coach our employees. The People Advisor also participates in the execution of many of our HR processes. People Advisors are aligned by geography (GU, Country) and deployed to entity (DTE). Key activities include: ? Support employees throughout the HR life cycle (from hire through departure) ? Support employees and line managers in people-matters (i.e. employee relations, performance management, etc.) ? Coach and advise line managers and career counselors in career planning and development so they can effectively coach our employees ? Facilitation of Employee Engagement and People programs/activities by coaching the line managers and providing advisory support ? Execute Annual Performance Mgmt process and associated compensation activities ? Support GU SE Performance Mgmt process ? Manage employee lifecycle – onboarding, orientation/integration, discipline, leaves, managed departures and exit ? Support compliance (i.e. PCMM, internal controls, policy) ? Maintain employee record data as applicable ? Handle and address employee relations queries/concerns, consulting with ER/LR specialists as appropriate People Advisors are responsible for educating supervisors and career counselors on processes including legal implications of not following a proper process and ensuring that career counselors and supervisors are executing the process correctly. | |
Key Responsibilities | |
Value Creator | ? Provides high quality coaching and advisory services to line managers and career counselors to enable them to coach our employees in order to optimize the employee experience and to become more effective in handling people matters ? Promote HR contact center/self-service tools (i.e. myRequests, Portal, PeopleLine) as first port of HR services contact |
Business Operator | ? Manage the employee life cycle enabling the execution of the following processes: i. Job Design (Job mapping) ii. Transitions (Post start of on boarding activities) iii. Performance Management iv. Recognition (non monetary piece of the process) v. Discipline/Grievance vi. Mobility vii. Leave Management viii. Absenteeism Management ix. Exit Management x. Compensation ? Support mobile employees in host country on key processes like performance management and career development ? Provide coaching and advisory support on the delivery of Employee Engagement and People programs and activities ? Support standard and DTE specific reward and recognition programs ? Perform job role mapping for job design process ? Assist the compensation lead in delivery of the compensation process as and when required ? Facilitate career planning and development process; coach and advise career counselor and supervisors to manage career development ? Handle employee discipline and grievances and consult with ER/LR Lead as appropriate (review grievance case details, check policy, establish course of action and discuss approach with employee, facilitate informal resolution) ? Manage individual departures -- Determine severance package and additional support. Provide case details/ business case to approving parties. Prepare preliminary termination documents. Communicate decision and facilitate resolution of departure. ? Manage group departures -- Prepare preliminary termination documents for termination meeting. Communicate decision and facilitate resolution of departure. |

Qualifications and Experience | |
Education | A Bachelor degree with a focus in Human Resources Management or Business Management related discipline |
Professional Qualifications | A Human Resources designation/certification preferred |
Work Experience | ? Human Resources generalist experience ? Deep human resources service delivery experience ? Solid understanding of Accenture’s business operations and business strategy ? Exceptional interpersonal communication skills ? Strong coaching and partnering capability combined with a demonstrated ability to influence ? Experience in building successful and productive working relationships |
