Position: HSE Engineer

Location: China

Purpose: To supervise and inspect the operations of the contractor to comply with the HSE requirement of relevant China code as a minimum and with the appropriate specific HSE requirement of employer
Responsibilities:
1.Educate or train the managers of contractor with requirement of relevant China code, employer and supervise if the contractor implements HSE education/training to their workers.
2.Supervise and manage the contractor’s HSE system (data) accord with requirement of relevantChina and local standard, Employer
3.Inspect whether the contractor’s site accord with the HSE plans and Chinese HSE standard, and write corrective instructions and punishment notices to the contractor.
4.Preside or request Jianli to convene site HSE meeting.
5.Request Jianli to review key working procedure (dangerous working procedure) by themselves.
6.Record and reserve HSE data on site office according to requirement and write weekly safety report both in Chinese and English.

Competency:
Education & Qualification
1.Relevant construction major
2.Certified safety engineer

Knowledge & Experience
1.At least 5 years experience
2.Working knowledge of China HSE requirements
3.Experience of safety management
4.Capable of interpersonal and communication skills, academic writing skill for project reports
5.Office software, Autocad 2000, Microsoft Project and other necessary software skills
6.Able to work under pressure, be willing to travel and work for projects out of Shanghai
7.Spoken and written in English preferable
8.Working experiences from Project Management company or related consulting firms preferable

Functional Skills
1.Ability to understand and apply requirements of Employer specific HSE policy
2.Capable of producing written reports in Chinese and English
