Senior Planning Specialist (Jiangmen)


The Senior Planning Specialist is responsible for coordinating activities and resources in NPI (New Product Introduction) Operations to support new product sample, preproduction and pilot production ramp at Contract Manufacturers (CMs) from meeting committed delivery dates to working with project teams to anticipate and avoid any issues preventing success. This requires driving CM on time delivery, manage supply chain members and activities per corporate supply chain strategy, operation forecasting, critical component planning and procurement, CM capacity planning to support production ramp, packaging test coordination and RoHS and other Agile documentation support. The successful candidate for this position must be able to travel to various locations in Asia with short notice.

Job Requirements

• Station in contract manufacturer (CM) to make sure that all the operation targets are met.
• Work closely with remote NPI planners, NPI operations team, regional design centers (R&D) and serve as site representative to monitor every customer orders from schedule commitment to final shipment and ensure on time delivery.
• To manage ES (engineering sample),preproduction and pilot production activities through coordinating support resources from local engineering team.
• Coordinate sample build and logistics (green sample, DVT/PVT sample, 2nd source sample) and packaging testMonitor and influence the daily production plan in the CM and make sure that the plan is executed accordingly.
• Review new product demand from sales forecast and sales orders, ensure timely and accurate operation forecast and PO coverage are released to CMs
• Communicate with local quality and engineering team when there is quality or process issue in the CM which affecting delivery.
• Plan and monitor the material, production and test capacity availability to ensure that the required materials / capacity are prepared according to the plan and able to be expedited when necessary.
• Liaise with logistics companies to resolve any shipment (in-coming / outgoing) issues.
• Ensure CM reporting are on time, accurate and adequate.

Qualification Requirements

• BS or BA in Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain degree;
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in new product planning in electronic manufacturing environment
• Familiar with local PCB, PCBA suppliers and mechanical shops
• Knowledge in PCB fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes
• Strong verbal and written communication skill in both English and Chinese
• Experience in working with cross functional team
• Very frequent travel
