【Job Description】:
To provide best in class strategic and operational leadership at the portfolio level:
1. Provide expertise in program/project development and portfolio systems in order to design/manage processes that support program/project and portfolio resourcing and the collection, aggregation, and analysis of data.
2. Provide an expert interface between PPM and organizational partners so that organizational and development considerations are reflected and implemented in portfolio processes across PPM in a consistent fashion.
3. Drive optimal utilization of Department Two and Partner Line portfolio resources by continually aligning portfolio activities with investment/governance decisions/processes.
4. Understand and/or manage governance processes in order to:
- Enable proactive and efficient governance/committee interactions and decisions.
- Clarify and advise program/project teams regarding portfolio and category/enterprise governance processes.
5. Drive alignment between PPM across TA, PPM/Department Two lines and among Partner Lines by transparent and timely sharing of information to facilitate efficient portfolio delivery.
6. Provide accurate and timely communication of portfolio events and progress updates to inform decision making in the category, enterprise, and among Partner Lines.
7. Portfolio analysis, reporting and information management.

Level of responsibility for Sr PM Manager and PM Managers
10. Associate Director/Sr PM manager is expected to be responsible to support PM Team head for designing and establishing enhanced processes to support governance management and drive process enhancement in resource management, annual planning and reporting.
11. PM manager is expected to perform governance management, resource management, annual planning and reporting according to the established processes.
Main Responsibilities:
12. Portfolio Resource Management
13. Drive Business (Operations/Annual) planning process in line with the Development Portfolio prioritization process to support optimal investment decisions.
14. Manage dynamic resourcing process to maximize the support of projects/initiatives/processes within budget and aligned with portfolio priorities.
15. Understand program/project resource projections and utilization, and identify opportunities for improvement.
16. Governance Process Guidance and Management
17. Creating governance process guides and support implementation.
18. Operationally manage governance processes, driving to efficiency and clarity in decision-making.
19. Proactively identify governance process improvement opportunities and best practices. Portfolio/Business Process Development, Implementation and Optimization
20. Develop portfolio tools, processes and reports to assist Project Managers, Planners, Program/project Team Leaders, and other partners in managing programs and portfolios.
21. Identify, recommend and implement process improvement opportunities to ensure optimal portfolio management.
Portfolio Reporting
22. Compile, analyze, and publish portfolio insights not available in automated reporting tools.
23. Partner with Planning, Project Management, Reporting, and related functions to enable the generation of consistent and accurate automated reports on progress against portfolio milestones and deliverables.
24. Produce or contribute to ad hoc reports or information queries.
25. Generate information (reports/presentations) in support of business planning processes.
Others
26. Plan and manage annual training plans for entire PPM staffs to develop professional skills
27. Serve as a meeting manager for PPM led virtual team/committee
28. Maintain & develop PPM related Newsletter, Portfolio Dashboard and other reporting system.
Qualifications:
(Training, Education & Prior Experience):
29. B.S. with 7+ years' experience or M.S. with 5+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years of experience in drug development.
30. Expert knowledge of the Portfolio and Project Management discipline and the application of Project Management at the Portfolio level.
31. Technical experience and deep/current knowledge of the drug development process
32. Experience managing a portfolio of projects and delivery on multiple simultaneous
work streams.
33. Ability to synthesize data and information from multiple sources to assess and analyze portfolio progress and performance, and recommend process improvements.
