Raw material sourcing Manager( pls send Both English and Chinese CV)

We are an outdoor company that specializes in product line for snowboarding.

Responsible for the development of creative product solutions regarding materials and trims, as well as the long-term material and trim development process from the first idea to bulk production. Specifically, this means:

· Research and development in cooperation with existing and new suppliers

· Translation of specific brand requirements into creative article and ingredient ideas

· Active generation of new material and trims

· Sourcing from existing suppliers and establishing new partnerships with suppliers in Asia and Europe

· Participation in the creation of the seasonal material and trim concept

· Develop Burton fabric capability and knowledge of fabrics and mills in Asia and Europe and identify opportunities to standardize Burton’s core fabric qualities

· Focus on fabric/yarn developments in order to achieve benefits in terms of fabric prices, quality assurance, transparency, sustainability and availability

· Responsible for the seasonal fabric/yarn developments in Asia in cooperation with the US materials teams and respective R&D developers

· Develop fabrics from a quality assurance perspective making sure that the fabric performance follows Burton quality standards and requirements

· Ensure all stakeholders respect all aspects of the Burton Code of Conduct

· Define quality assurance measures and responsible for master data creation and maintenance in the PLM system – ensure fabric and trim detail sheets are available, accurate and updated

· Continuous market researches on new fabric and trimming materials

· Develop raw material collections for the softgoods team in the US

· Support all apparel collections regarding trimming issues in all product categories- outerwear, apparel, accessories as well as bags and luggage

· Ensure all trimming products are following our high-quality standards

· Provide timely lap dip and strike off approvals to commercialization team to ensure duly bulk production

· Supply commercialization team with fully developed and validated fabrics in conjunction with the US material team

· Attending trade shows and fairs

· Manage fabric and trim library

· Work closely with the Burton lab for material testing

· Managing the sourcing team

Requirements:

· 7 years + experience in creative sourcing of materials and trims

· successfully completed degree in textile or clothing technology or a corresponding commercial training

· Experience with quality systems and test certification processes

· Distinct and strategic way of thinking

· High level of communication and negotiation skills

· Experience with Bluesign, GOTS, RWS, LWG and other sustainability institutions preferred

· Experience with technical outdoor performance materials and products preferred

· Strong PC computer skills including MS Office and Outlook required

· Good written or spoken English and Mandarin required

· Good teamwork spirit

· Management experience

· Location: Huaqiao / Kunshan

· Travel required: 20 - 30%
