Product Owner

Calm Island is looking for a product owner to join the growing team in our Shanghai office. 

Our company is committed to transforming the world of early childhood education with new technologies, animation and diverse teaching content.

It has two product lines: the well-known animation IP brand "Badanamu" and "KidsLoop", a one-stop technology solutions ecosystem for pre-school education targeting children aged 0-6.

Most importantly, you will…

-Be the proactive link between the KidsLoop solution team and the technical team for product development 

-Support and drive development of products that support the long-term aims of the KidsLoop solution team

-Work closely with the department head to define detailed requirements from a high-level product vision 

-Maintain project backlogs and prioritize them strategically to meet stakeholder requirements

-Consult with our in-house education experts to ensure our products are educationally sound and meet the needs of teachers, students, and parents

-Work closely with our UX, market, and usability researchers to inform your decision making

Requirements

-BA or MA in a related field (UX, Computer Science, Product Development) 

-Fluent in English and Chinese

-Strong written and oral communication skills in both languages

-Familiar with Scrum methodology

-Confident advocating for user centered design and applying UX principles

-Desire and ability to understand key education principles to guide your daily work

-Able to work in cross-functional teams, and strategically leverage their expertise

-Experience with education products preferred, especially content management and learning management systems
