Key Responsibilities: 

General Ledger Accountant performs the day to day operations for the following process areas:

-       perform the fixed assets transfer, disposal, change and sale of assets according to process flow & Accounting Policy requirements (if there are local & US GAAP differences, those differences must be clearly identified)

-       perform General Ledger calculations as defined within the activity split (calculations must be reasonable, accurate and with all supporting documentation)

-       perform month-end closing activities as defined within the activity split (activities must be performed accurately, have adequate supporting documentation & meet agreed deadlines)

-       perform reporting activities as defined within the activity split (activities must be performed accurately, have adequate supporting documentation & meet agreed deadlines)

-       perform Balance sheet reconciliation on a timely manner (each account must have adequate & reasonable explanation)

-      Support Audit and Control

-      prepare and keep up-to-date detailed instructions for each General Ledger activity

Qualifications:

1. At least 5 years of experience in Accounting

2. Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounting end-to-end processes

3. Some experience in General Ledger/Closing processes in a complex and international business environment

4. Knowledge of US GAAP, local tax and accounting laws would be an advantage 

5. Strong result-orientation aiming to understanding customers’ needs and prevailing market trends  

6. Work experience with SAP or similar ERP system would be an advantage

7. Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and setting/working under deadlines under pressure

8. International experience and intercultural view  

9. Strong team player with a positive and pragmatic approach on problem solving; troubleshooting and quick learning skills

10. Flexibility to adapt to changes or innovations of processes, new markets and changing requirements.  Continuous professional training both autonomously and by means provided by the Company.
