Responsibilities:  

 The Technical Writer is responsible for producing and publishing customer documentation to support comprehensive system use and must comply with all quality standards and procedures, consistently deliver results according to project plans and deadlines, and proactively seek out and execute process improvements to deliver excellent customer documentation.  

The Technical Writer Will: 

? Understand technical content and rewrite per established templates.

? Leverage strong verbal and written communication/interviewing skills to obtain information and technical reviews from Subject Matter Experts.

? Build relationships with wide range of personalities including tech writing co-workers and subject matter experts.

? Work efficiently and independently (per work instructions and reference guidelines) with minimal supervision.

? Consistently deliver results according to project plans.

? Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

? Proficiently use XML-based authoring tools with a proven ability to learn various types of software quickly and apply this knowledge. 

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications for the Technical Writer: 

? Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technical Communications, Healthcare, Communication Arts, Journalism, English or a related field.

? Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical writing, online help development, and software documentation (PC applications and networking) including experience working within an Agile development environment.

? Working knowledge of Structured Writing (DITA, Minimalism, etc.) and/or related writing methods, such as Information Mapping.

? Familiarity with and/or proficiency with the following tools: 

？ Oxygen (or another XML editor).

？ Ixiasoft CMS (or another content management tool).

？ HyperSTE (or another term management tool).

? Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.

? Familiarity or experience with the implementation of NMT (neural machine translation).
