Perform routine monitoring on event logs to help identify normal versus malicious activity within Dana’s network.  Event monitoring encompasses all aspects of technology including hardware, software, networks, applications and services.

Coordinate monitoring procedures with data center operations to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of monitoring activities.

Assist in coordinating incident response efforts in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Maintain and enhance security incident response program documentation and processes to ensure the effective and efficient execution of the company’s information security incident response efforts.

Leverage existing technology to secure assets and respond to security incidents in an efficient and effective manner.

Monitor activities and events to ensure that anomalous behavior is detected, identified, classified and acted upon where appropriate.

Maintain current knowledge of threats/vulnerabilities and assess the potential risks associated with the IT infrastructure.  Provide actionable recommendations to remediate vulnerabilities leveraging existing technology in the event of malicious activity is identified.

Perform reviews and assessments of security controls before hardware/software is migrated to production.

Perform ongoing reviews of all security activities and reports providing technical security oversight to detect meaningful data versus non-threatening anomalies.

Develop and execute corrective action plans where required leveraging existing technology.

Propose changes / improvements to the processes and procedures that will improve operational efficiency, provide better service, etc.

Provide incident status communications to customers, stakeholders and IT management.

Document and maintain incident case files to allow for trending, incident analysis and correlation and program metrics reporting.

Track the status of information security incidents and support services (support of investigations lead by other departments)

Assist with technical investigative support to Corporate and Financial Investigations, Labor and Employee Relations, Office of General Counsel, Corporate Compliance or any other department as required.

Follows SOC processes, policies, and procedures congruent with standards and industry best practices.

Support incident analysis activities and gathering of performance metrics.
