- Consult our ICT ( Information and Communication Technology) customers in Asia in implementing our microlens products into their optical communication devices

- Engage in manufacturability of customer product specification, guide customer through engineering process to acchieve specifications that are feasible to produce, support design process at customer and Jenoptik

- Co-develop and perform test and inspection of samples at customer site and ICT products before shipment

- Communicate all ICT related technical matter between engineering team of customer and Jenoptik engineers in Huntsville, Al

- Be the technical interface in Asia for ICT

- Visit customers, conferences and tradeshows in agreement with local Sales in Asia

- Report disciplinary to Senior Sales Manager China and professionally to engineering and sales team in Huntsville, Al, USA.

Requirements:

- At least M. Eng., M. Sc. or similar degree

- 3 years experience in Laser Material Processing industry (e.g. optical engineer or process engnieer)

- Fluent English

- High degree of self-organization, responsibility and flexibility

As an integrated optoelectronics group, Jenoptik operates in five divisions: Lasers & Material Processing, Optical Systems, Industrial Metrology, Traffic Solutions and Defense & Civil Systems. Jenoptik customers around the world primarily include companies in the semiconductor and semiconductor equipment industries, the automotive and automotive supplier industries, the medical technology, security and defense technology industries as well as the aviation industry.
The Industrial Metrology division has been represented in the Chinese market since the mid1980s. In 1998 a representative Office was opened in China’s capital Peking, followed by offices in Shanghai and Chongqing in 1999 and 2005. Teams from all the five divisions now have a local presence.
