As a System Compatibility Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you willbe responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the system levelvalidation and characterization of Micron managed NAND products. Thesestrategies will require the development, and documentation, of software andhardware test solutions used to validate and characterize products againstrequirements and specifications.  Responsibilities will also includeproviding investigative support for validation, characterization, qualificationand customer issues. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Understanding EXT4 or F2FS file systemwell and have expertise on file system, ability to change linux drivers oneMMC/UFS, testing new features for eMMC/UFS in linux kernel.

2. Work closelywith Micron firmware team, product development team and BU application team,understanding the firmware algorithm, have the capability to debug from thefirmware/linux/file system levels.

3. Software development on evaluationboards in Micron lab, creating bash/python/perl scripts for testing and validations, ability todevelopment benchmark testing on eMMC/UFS in file system level.

4. Work with Chipset Vendors/Customers(Qualcomm/MTK/Huawei etc) to enable and validate Micron mobile memory productsincluding eMMC, eMCP and UFS, working on patches to be implemented in thechipsets, debug/interpretsoftware logs provided by Chipset Vendors and customers to help in debuggingsoftware issues.

5. Review, track,document, and summarize test results, generating reports and documentation

    

   REQUIREMENTS:

1. MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering/Communication/Physics and etc.
2. Experience in Linux driver/kernel/file system development. 
3. Experience with Linux and scripting (bash/python/perl), Experience in C/C++ and assembler programming, emulators and simulation tools.
4. Understanding of linux/android Operating systems, system level validation or qualification experience
5. Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
6. Highly organized and self-motivated, good team work and communication skills
7. The ability to work with other engineers across multiple disciplines, as well as customers
8. The ability to apply creative and inventive ideas to resolve difficult issues
9. The ability to travel both locally and overseas
10. Knowledge or experience of memory product including eMMC, eMCP, UFS, uMCP and LPDDR is a plus.
11. Knowledge or experience of PCIe, NVMe protocol is a plus
12. Prior experience with Oscilloscopes and/or Logic analyzers is a plus
