Develop, implement, and maintain systems to assure the quality of products and the development and implementation of new products;

Continually review product performance and process and when indicated makes recommendations within policy guidelines concerning product performance as reflected by accumulated data;

Provides feedback to design processes to improve quality and reliability; fully integrated into the NPI and NPD process

Develops systems to manage customer defect analysis, corrective actions, and report root cause analysis;

Review in-process data from manufacturing processes and facilitate corrective and preventive actions as appropriate;

Work very close with customer base to resolve quality issues, will assume the role of window person to the customer regarding quality;

Summarize and present data to Engineering regarding manufacturing, vendor and field complaints. Make recommendations for engineering evaluation toward problem elimination;

Recommend to Industrial Engineering, process improvements including fixtures, tools, jigs, inspection and test devices required to maintain the desired quality and reliability;

Conduct testing on prototypes, first shots and trial runs. Record and report the results;

Test, inspect, analyze, and complete customer Initial Sample Inspection Reports on new products or design changes as required;

Conduct Design Verification and Product verification as required;

Assist with pilot build and fit / function tests at customer plants as required;

Test, inspect, analyze, and complete vendor initial Sample Inspection Reports on new products or design changes as required. Assist localization program in all testing areas as required;

Coordinator and active participant for PFMEA, FA;

Develop, install and maintain economic QC sampling plans and procedures;

Analyze customer complaints and warranty claims. Identify causes and responsibilities and initiate corrective action

Develop QC plans and manufacturing quality plans as required;

Develop and maintain Yield report;

Owner of SIP, PQP, APQP, Cpk, GR&R;

Develop and maintain KPI’s related to his department (Yield, COQ, Customer reclaim etc.).

Plan, organize, implement and supervise the efforts and necessary procedures to perform the above listed activities

Supervise, train, and direct both old and new employees in the department;

Support daily SQDIP “Daily Management Proceses”
