As a Senior Product Engineer, you will be part of the Motion (M) Business and Drives Business Line (BL), based in Beijing. ABB is the World leader in Motion (M) Business offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

You will be the design authority for diverse engineering projects in Drive Products Product Group/ Drives Business Line (BL)/ Motion (M) Business in Beijing /China country/NAS region. You will be responsible for the successful delivery for multiple projects on time, within budget, and in line with contract specifications and relevant quality and safety guidelines.

? Take the ownership of your products. Focus on improving customer experience, product reliability and cost competitiveness.
? Maintain product master data, product certification and product documentation.
? Coordinate most demanding technical support and issue resolution cases, propose corrective actions and lead the implementation and ECN management.
? Organize and maintain product data, including BOM, drawings and test specifications etc.
? Take responsibility of product cost, coordinate with SCM and other function to cut cost from localization and available material source development.
? Lead component qualification process and support verification test.
? Collaborate with R&D in new product development.

? Master’s Degree, major in Power Electronics, Electrical/Electronic or Automation Engineering is preferred.
? 5 years of strong product engineering or R&D background, deep understanding of AC Drive technology from the related field.
? Strong experience of Product life cycle management.
? Experience of quality management methods and tools.
? Expertise of testing and qualification of AC drives according to internal and external requirements.
? Capability of systematic problem solving.
? Familiar with the electrical measurement equipment.
? Good communication and negotiation skills.
? Good team player with the ability to coach and mentor other engineers.
? Strong ownership and proactive attitude.
? Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on business work.
? Excellent English and Chinese communication skills.
