As an Industry Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Division and Measurement & Analytics Business Units (BU) based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Industrial Automation (IA) division delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, and industry-specific application knowledge and services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management and global responsibility. These industries include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine and turbocharging.

As an Industry Engineer, you are responsible for support production running in terms of Master data maintenance, problem solving, production set-up of new production line, quality improvement and continuous improvement.

Your Tasks as an Industry Engineer will include the following:

1. New Product Introduction (NPI)
？ Manage the project and process of introducing new products into production for the local factory.
？ Transfer product and process knowledge from feeder factories or local RD team to local team, training and qualify operator to ensure they have proper skill to produce new product.
？ Obtain or create documents/drawing/template etc to ensure local production smoothly.
？ Make local version documents and drawing for local use where needed and ensure that the product responsible R&D centre have integrated the change into the global product database through the integrated.
？ Production Layout (efficient flow of material and process).
？ Get fixture drawing/specification (software installation file) from feeder factories or local R&D, manage them properly.
？ Set up new production line equipment and fixture, after it work stable transfer all knowledge and document to equipment engineer for day to day operation.
2. Support Certification (NEPSI, PED, CMC, etc.) application and take sub-project as required.
3. SAP PDR (Material Master, Variant Configurator, Bill of Materials & Routing) transfer to other factory or loading to local SAP.
4. Part Localization and sample inspection.
？ Assist supply management with the material localization and approval process.
？ Work with the Supply team and feeder factories to identify what components can be localized.
？ Assist in the selection and auditing the selected suppliers.
？ Manage the qualification of those components and release into production.
？ Work with the certification engineers in R&D to ensure that the local product conforms to the approval body requirements.
5. Daily production support to ensure a smooth and trouble-free operation.
6. Set up product testing process to ensure that the product meets the requirement specification.
7. Responsible Change Management Process, handling of Engineering Order Change (ECN) and make changes in SAP and ensure the proper roll out of the changes in production.
8. Responsible for design for manufacturing and raise ECR to feeder factory or RD team to improve product quality, cost and efficiency.
9. Continuous improve process with LSS tools to reduce manufacturing time, cost, improve efficiency, quality and inventory.

1. University Degree in Electronics or relative background.
2. 3+ years of working experience in a related Engineering Environment.
3. Must have work experience in any of the following:
a) Research/Design and development
b) Test, quality control, Lean Manufacturing
c) Production engineering / Industrial engineering
d) Technical Support & Product management wing departments
4. Proficiency in Microsoft office programs including (Excel, Word and Power point).
5. Proficiency in SAP BOM and material creation (SAP MM/PP modules).
6. Excellent skills in CAD - ProEngineer or AutoCAD.
7. Ability to be an effective contributor when working in multi-cultural team.
8. Good interpersonal & organizational skills.
