Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Provides strategic direction to Country Procurement Specialists on overall procurement at Houghton Intl.
2. Shapes/defines/employs the best risk management strategies across commodities and ensures policies are adhered to
within region and across company
3. Provides methodology for materials forecasting and ensures proper follow-up by Procurement Specialists
Selection and prioritization of Strategic Sourcing initiatives across categories and regions
4. Oversees overall savings plan for raw materials and indirect goods and services for fiscal year
Main link to BU Heads in setting annual savings targets and project plans; works with Procurement Specialists on goals
and savings objectives for the year
5. Negotiates/coordinates with BU leadership on BU resource requirements for annual project plan
6. Assigns key supplier ownerships throughout and actively oversees relationship with top 25 suppliers
7. Drives procurement best practices based on internal and external benchmarking
8. Supports Procurement strategy development and ensures implementation by working with Procurement Specialists and
9. Supply Chain to determine priorities and resources
10. Works with BU Heads and Procurement Specialists to define appropriate strategic sourcing efforts for the year
11. Provides input into the key parameters and main metrics for measuring Procurement effectiveness
12.Tracks and reviews high level metrics and achievement of goals of Procurement Specialists, evaluates performance on a
13.yearly basis; mentors Procurement Specialists throughout the year
14.Provides strategic direction and support for Global best sourcing when and where appropriate

Qualifications
1. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in industry (Chemicals, Petrochemicals)
2. 5-10 years of direct line management experience required
3.Solid functional experience in Procurement, Sales or Marketing, Manufacturing, Business Management preferred
4. Advanced degrees (Masters, MBA or PhD) preferred
5.International/multinational experience preferred
6.Experience in dealing with and within global companies a plus
7.Fluent in English, Multilingual a plus
