Position Purpose
Responsible for the development, deployment and continuous improvement of environmental, safety and health management systems for the Cargill Animal Nutrition as directed by the Regional Operation Director within a specified region/geography that will enable the business to achieve its goal of developing a Complete Safety Culture. Champion a proactive culture of accountability, stakeholder engagement and sustainability in the business’ Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) program. The EHS Manager will provide EHS leadership to regional CAN management, our employees and the communities/customers we serve through education and pro-active initiatives to reduce risk associated with environment, health and safety, as well as providing their specific EHS discipline expertise. This position will be part of the CAN Operations team and will help to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements and initiatives for all of CAN’s business.
Principal Accountabilities
This postion is expected to spend 80% his time on region EHS and 20% on themes champion:
1. 80%-Regional EHS
? EHS professionals are expected to be generalist to all EHS matters within assigned regions
? Integrate EHS into CAN Value Chain
1) Deploy CEHS and CAN EHS policy, procedures and requirements within assigned regions
2) Deploy CEHS, CAN common program and initiative within assigned regions
3) Facilitate region leaders to establish complete safety culture
? Focus on 3 key areas firstly
? Engineering and process technology
? Facilitate building project team to achieve excellent construction EHS performance during Phase IV(construction)
? Deploy CEHS and CAN EHS policy, procedures and requirements within assigned regions by educating, training building project management team

Essential Functions/Requirements
Activity Level:
Light work: Applying up to 20 pounds (9.0 kilograms) of force occasionally and/or up to 100 pounds (4.5 kilograms) of force in frequently, and/or a small amount of force constantly to move objects. Required Qualifications
? Four (4) year accredited degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene and/or Safety Engineering
? Five(5) years of direct Environmental, Industrial Hygeine, Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
? Applied knowledge and working understanding of OSHA, regulatory compliance, experience with inspections, incident investigations, process safety, contractor safety, EHS training, hazard reviews and job safety analysis
? Some degree management experience
