Main purpose of the position:
This position will serve as the lead compliance officer for the APAC region, responsible for overseeing and executing the Ethics & Compliance program there to ensure business practices and activities are in compliance with Getinge internal policies and guidelines including but not limited to the Getinge Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, local laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing employees with:

1. Clear policies and procedures
2. Education and training
3. Effective and practical compliance oversight and advice.
4. Also, in conjunction with finance areas, be responsible for conducting monitoring, auditing/triaging; investigation of allegations of misconduct and resolution of the same as necessary..


This position operates across all divisions (BAs) and functional areas of the company and serves as a strategic business partner for APAC SSU management and coach towards all covered employees, to assure that the company culture of compliance is a natural element in its day-to-day business.

This position reports to the Senior Compliance Officer for Getinge and will ideally be located in Getinge’s Singapore offices (note: alternative locations will be considered, especially in China).

Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience
? Bachelor’s Degree required; other advanced degrees in law or business preferred.
? Minimum of 7 years of experience ideally including a minimum of 3 of those years in a compliance role.
? Knowledge of laws, regulations and industry standards across the region with a particular emphasis on EU data privacy and transparency rules/regulations.
? Knowledge of and experience with anti-corruption rules and regulations (FCPA, UK Bribery Act).
? Knowledge of and experience with medical device registrations, licensing and product promotion, strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
? Being the primary support for compliance matters in Getinge’s APAC SSU including:
? Chairing the Getinge Regional Compliance Steering Committee (APAC)
? Being responsible for implementation of and ensuring compliance with the internal processes and procedures and external rules and regulations for APAC, including the Getinge Code of Conduct and the applicable laws.
? Advising on compliance matters, such as drafting, review and negotiation of clinical study, research, training, sponsor/donation, consultancy and other non-sales contracts and other arrangements with hospitals and health care professionals
? Conducting compliance training for all employees and continue to drive the culture of compliance.
? Provide commercially-oriented operational support and strategic guidance to Getinge APAC SSU operations.
? Identify and manage internal and external compliance resources as required to provide high quality compliance support at a reasonable cost.
? Proven ability to use critical thinking skills to analyze new and complex business projects against regulatory requirements and new policies and provide balanced, workable solutions to the business.
? Record of success in driving change and process improvements despite organizational, legacy resistance.
? Demonstrated working knowledge of the relationship between sales and marketing business unit activities and relevant compliance requirements.
? Superior oral communication, inter-personal skills, mature judgment and independent thinking.
? Experience in leading investigations into allegations of misconduct.
