Responsibilities:
1, Strategic Planning & Business Management
? Provides direction for the category by analyzing business and customer needs, developing and implementing business strategies and plans, determining product positioning and development path, determining appropriate resourcing and improving operational processes
? Sets direction and gains support for business plans and objectives by communicating and building relationships with all levels of management, leading the creation of products, and securing approvals for initiatives or resources
? Develops and executes tactical communications, merchandising and marketing plans that support overall strategy, in collaboration with Marketing, Operations and vendors
? Develops and leads sales incentives, competitions and other promotional plans to drive sales
? Establishes sales plans and forecasting, and tracks performance and contribution
? Monitors market, business, competitor and customer trends and formulates action plans
? Drives compliance and standards with processes, policies and tools
? Builds relationships with Walmart International to leverage global knowledge, processes, systems
2, Product Development & Management
? Oversees design and execution of multiple credit and banking products by leverage market research, designing products , evaluating implementation feasibility, integrating products within stores, and implementing product enhancements
? Develops technical system, financial and operating model to meet Walmart standards and ensure product integration by aligning with Operations, ISD, Finance, Legal and other departments
? Oversees development and management of vendor partners by negotiating business terms and monitoring vendor compliance and service levels
? Works with related departments to obtain all approvals from Walmart US, Walmart International and in-country
? Proposes market promotion budget, sales budget and profit budget into Financial Services plan
3, People Development
? Develops talent and builds high-performance teams by recruiting, managing and developing product managers, assistant product managers and supervisors
? Provides constructive feedback and fosters a team-oriented work environment
4, Financial Management
? Creates category budget and manages expenses, tracking and reconciliation
? Develops pro formas to assess new category opportunities with Finance and Operations teams
Qualifications:
? Bachelor degree or equivalent; MBA or similar graduate degree strongly preferred.
? 8+ years experience in retail merchandising, retail financial services management or consumer financial services sector (e.g., retail banking, credit cards, debit cards, money transfer services); 3+ years in a management position.
? The Director must be comfortable owning and driving change; have a strong drive for growth and sales improvement, and be effective in managing through a highly cross-functional and cross-cultural organization. The Director must have an ownership mentality, be very persistent, and be a creative thinker and problem solver with strong influencing skills. He/she must possess strong communication skills, an innate attention to detail, and analytic aptitude to identify and pursue emerging opportunities.
? Solid knowledge of finance, marketing, credit card business and risk control
? Strategic thinking and visioning skills, and customer service mindset
? High level of motivation and results-oriented work ethic. Passionate about new ideas, with enthusiasm and tenacity to drive product development and execution
? Excellent project management skills
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills
? Proven negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills
? Ability to develop and manage cross-functional teams and drive results through others
? Ability to develop strong partnerships and communicate with all levels of the business
? Strong verbal and written communications skills
