Reporting to Fi***ce Controller, the Accounting Supervisor is responsible for all areas relating to tax, accounting & reporting. He/she needs to supervise local accounting, supervise tax filing and produces statutory reporting according to the deadlines.
Main Job Responsibilities:
1. Accounting and fi***cial analysis 55%
With the support of 2 accountants reporting to the Accounting Supervisor
– Supervise month-end closing : review accounting entries and ensure accurate reports are submitted within the deadlines
– Reconcile every month i***entory with our primary distributor and organize at year-end the annual stock-take
– Support in producing different reporting (Fi***cial statements of 4 legal entities and cash-flow reports)
– Coordinate annual statutory audit for VHS ; reports consolidation package to the Group in the Group tool (Tagetik) – support Mother company to calculate margin in stock and ensure accurate inter-company reconciliation on a monthly basis and at year-end
– Is proactive in proposing improvements of current internal control processes
– Is a key user for SAP related matters and is pro-active in all system update (price update, cost center creation)
– Supervise and guide Accountants
– Is able to run Management reports for regional Headquarters
2. Internal control 10%
- Review current processes and proposes improvement in close relationship with the business to ensure processes can be easily rolled-out
- Formalize and file all processes ; run regularly random tests to ensure company policies are applied
3. Tax : 30%
- supervise tax filing (content, compliance with deadlines) with the support of an accountant
- Proactive and didactic in explaining China tax peculiarities
- In charge of relations with tax bureau with prior approval from China Fi***ce controller & Asia fi***ce controller
- Communicate clearly with other departments on time constraints related to tax matters and is proactive in assessing retro-planning in close coordination with all internal stakeholders
4. Cash management : 15%
- Is the contact person with local banks and make sure that all payments are processed on time
- Supervise bank reconciliations and cash-flow reports produced by the accountants
Two accountants report directly to Accounting Supervisor. He/she has to lead, coach and help the team to progress.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Fi***ce;
? A minimum of 7 years working experience in international company.
? Strong business acumen, outstanding analytical skills.
? 'Hands-on' and team orientated working style and be proactive in their approach.
? Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential for this position.
? Computer skills (Microsoft office, SAP, etc.), solid knowledge of MS Excel
? Open minded and business oriented
? Solutions oriented and is very hands-on
? Communicated positively with other departments and is able to propose and discuss processes improvements taking into account business needs and constraints
