Position Description:
Reporting to the Design Manager in China. This position is located in Shanghai and will fully dedicate in product development.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Work with cross functional teams on cutting edge technology to define next generation user interfaces across mobile, embedded, and web experiences
- Work closely with industrial design, engineering, and suppliers to realize new concepts and products
- Build and lead a team of UI/UX designers
- Manage external design teams/projects
Skills:
- Design Thinking: We're looking for designers who think methodologically to find great solutions.
- Communication: Ideal candidates can speak confidently (in English) with product teams across the company to understand requirements and explain their designs
- Prototyping: Join us if you like building mockups quickly to validate your designs through user feedback
- Design: Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction with a mastery of design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision
- Language: Fluent English is a must for daily work communication and presentation
Experience:
- 5+ years of full project lifecycle UX experience and skills (research, strategy, wireframes/prototypes, user testing)
- Degree in Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or Fine Arts
- Portfolio of work that demonstrates expertise across a range of projects including hardware, software and app products
