Job Responsibilities
? Work with Micron engineering team, Micron marketing team, key OEMs, key Chipset Suppliers, and external partners to develop product requirements for Micron’s Managed NAND (eMMC and UFS) storage products. These Managed NAND products are the primary Memory storage device used in a variety of Smartphones and Tablets.
? Support Micron technical meetings with key chipset suppliers and OEMs. Lead effort to audit requirements of existing products and develop requirements for future products at these meetings.
? Provide guidance to Micron’s hardware and firmware architects and engineering development teams regarding technology developments.
? Drive alignment between engineering and business teams to define Boundary Agreements for Managed NAND products. These Boundary Agreements are the contract between Engineering and Business teams for a given product and they become the basis for determining if the project is on track from a technical, schedule, and business standpoint.
? Develop Managed NAND technical requirement documents.
? Participate in cross-functional Core Team meetings and help drive strategic decisions on Managed NAND product line.
? Represent Business Unit interests at Product Development Team (PDT) meetings.
Experience and Education
? Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering required. Master’s degree preferred.
? Four or more years of experience in developing firmware and/or ASICs. Memory silicon design experience is a plus as well as direct design experience in NAND Flash storage products. Proven track record of success required.
? Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must as this position requires working closely with Micron customers and partners to align on new product requirements and specifications. It also requires extensive communication and collaboration with Micron business and engineering design teams.
? Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams to a common objective
