Working for steute
We are an expanding company concentrating successfully on the development and manufacture of switchgear, sensors and electronic components for complex and critical applications in machine and plant engineering, medical equipment, as well as explosive and other extreme environments. steute provides work for 300 employees – and the number is rising steadily.
Sales Director China (M/F), Location: Shanghai
You will be responsible for the complete sales organization of steute China. You will define targets for the sales teams of all business units, together with the General Manager. In your position you will report directly to the General Manager China as well as indirectly to the headquarters in Loehne, Germany.
Assignments
? Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets
? Maintain national sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and appraising job results.
? Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and to expand the company’s customer base
? Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
? Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
? Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, report and shift tactical budgets and strategic directions

Requirements
? Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive relationships with clients and colleagues
? A result-orientated, hands-on person who gets things done on a consistent basis
? Self-directed, self-motivated and able to work independently
? Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
? Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused solutions
? Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
? At least 5 years working experience as a sales director or sales team leader
? Experience in working for a European subsidiary is a plus
? Language Skills: Mandarin (native), English (business fluent)
? Team leadership experience is a must
