Director, Supplier Development
The Company
One of Top 10 construction Machinery Company in the world
Our client is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of diversified construction/mining equipments.
It is a set-up of an IPO located in Suzhou, with target of 1.2 billion USD annual sourcing volume in 2012, covering sourcing, supplier development and commodity management in China region. To 2015, the total annual sourcing volume will target to 2 billion USD.

Position Description
Within the Site Sourcing organization, the SDD is responsible for supervising the processes and activities relating to supplier product/process quality during NPD phases. This encounts the responsibility for the quality of all parts supplied by external suppliers during the NPD within the assigned categories / commodities.
Within the Regional Sourcing Center organization, the position is dedicated to driving continuous improvement within the existing Supply Base by supporting New Product Development, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Approval and Qualifications, Current Issue Resolution, Lean Six Sigma deployment and Value Analysis/Value Engineering
Position Requirements
Support NPD Process
Supervision and completion of the required tasks relative to Supplier Development:
Development and qualification of new purchased parts through the DGSS APQP process working with Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and the supplier (PPAP, Supplier process audits...)
Problem solving with suppliers during NPD
Participate in project reviews. Escalation supplier risks to Management & NPD team. Mitigation.

Support Strategic Sourcing
Supports the strategic sourcing initiatives contributing continuously to QDC improvements:
Monitoring and reporting of business KPIs. (Supplier Scorecard)
As required, support the RSC organization in any emergency issues related to supplier poor quality / delivery issues.
Compliance to the DGSS and ensure suppliers comply to DICE requirements
Participate to and support the supplier's evaluation, selection and risk management.
Lead new supplier assessments (New supplier introduction & Approval)
Support the RSC organization in execution of VA/VE, productivity improvement, optimum usage of supplier's capacity.
Supplier Change request management.
KPI of Support Strategic Sourcing
Product, delivery and service quality.
Reduction in supplier issues
SPM KPI (PPM, OTD, COPQ)
Supplier Development
Develop the suppliers that partner with DICE:
Must drive process excellence within our Supply Base.
Promotion and execution of Lean Six Sigma deployment within the supply base. Participation in CI projects.
Work with all facets of the DI CE organization promoting quality, productivity, strategic alliances, information sharing, customer support, and continuous improvement.

Must Haves
Minimum 6 years of experience in Heavy or Automotive Industry in sourcing / supplier management experience with multinational companies
Bilingual with good command of English and Chinese skills
Continouse improvement expreince, must be able to effectively Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control
BS degree or above in Engineering
Lean Six Sigma deployment and Value Analysis/Value Engineering/Quality Improvement exposure

Certificate (license)
