JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Mobile Application Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will provide technical expertise and value to customers who integrate our Mobile devices with their own platforms. Specific focus will be given to Micron managed Flash solutions such as eMMC/eMCP/UFS/LPDDR. You may work through all phases of customer enablement and design-in; including implementation and system level issue debug etc. You will also represent the customer’s interest at technical meetings within Micron.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Early bring up new eMMC/eMCP/UFS products on Hisilicon/Qualcomm/MTK phone chipsets and early engagement design-in new samples at Micron’s customer side.
? Validate device compatibility in customer/chipset platforms under JQT (Joint Qual Testing), evaluate system level architecture gaps for functionality and performance, capture customer platform usage models, feedback information to internal development teams.
? Understand how customer qualifies Micron’s memory products in the phones, debug/interpret software logs provided by Chipset Vendors and customers to help in debugging issues, thinking of ways to detect potential issues through effective testing in the customer side or Micron’s lab.
? Work directly with marketing/FAE to support initial design-ins for new products, identify opportunities to help customers with memory subsystem design, helping to evaluate Micron’s new products in the customer’s Android system.
? Work closely with Micron firmware engineer and product engineer, help to debug eMMC/eMCP/UFS related issues in customer’s phones, duplicate customer’s failure in the internal platforms.
? Review, track, document, and summarize test results, generating reports and documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
? BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, eMMC/eMCP/UFS product engineer takes precedence, minimum 5 year solid experience.
? Worked on eMMC/eMCP/UFS in mobile handsets or mobile chipset vendors take precedence as well, minimum 5 year solid experience.
? Perform Oscilloscope, Logic analyzer, and Protocol analyzer work to capture bus timings and signal quality target platforms
? Solid PC skills with basic level programming/scripting abilities, experience with Linux or scripting using (bash/python/perl).
? Understanding of linux/android Operating systems, system level validation or qualification experience
? Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
? Highly organized and self-motivated, good team work and communication skills
? The ability to work with other engineers across multiple disciplines, as well as customers
? The ability to apply creative and inventive ideas to resolve difficult issues
? The ability to travel both locally and overseas
