Engineering Community & Online (ECO) is looking for a dynamic, experienced, hands-on Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with exceptional drive, customer focus, passion for innovation and deep knowledge of testing methodology to take our products to the next level.

We are creating a survey system which facilitates data collection of customer input by providing surveys and also supplies reporting capability. The system enables Microsoft to gain an insight into users’ feedback and create better products/services to improve user experience. As an SDET, you will provide direct feedback on product specifications and design and you will provide test planning, test development and hands-on testing for complete product releases.

Responsibilities:

- Review the design and work closely with testers/leads, developers, and program managers on owned features

- Define test planning and design test case to ensure effective test coverage

- Design test tools and create test automation intelligently to speed up the test process

- Manage the test execution and create high-quality bugs to control/drive the quality of the product

- Being creative, innovative, and always looking for self- improvement. Always trying to adopt creative test methods to improve test efficiency.

Qualifications:

- BA/BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required

- At least 3 years industry experience with strong software development or testing skills, including test planning, test analysis, test case design, test automation and/or infrastructure development methodologies.

- Good understanding of Data Structure and OO principles. Skillful at coding in C#/C++ and hands-on experiences with .NET based application development.

- Good understanding of and experience with ASP.NET & ADO.NET.

- Solid database skills are required. Deep understanding of database methodology and key database concepts. Strong T-SQL programming skills, performance tuning and troubleshooting skills, and excellent white-box testing skills.

- Rich programming experience with MS SQL Server (or other mainstream DBMS). Experience in SQL Server Integrating Service (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) is a plus.

- Good communication skills in both Chinese and English.

- Strong problem solving ability, and able to find creative solutions to challenging technical problems.

- Self-critical, passionate about product quality. Ability to learn quickly.

- Good collaboration skills, and ability to work across multiple disciplines to achieve great results
