? Guarantee coherence between decisions and activities of Product Platforms (Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance,...) and Purchasing joint strategies in supplier selection process
? Support and monitor the development activities
? Guarantee, for the customer, management of product development from a purchasing point of view, through the following activities:

? Following the iter of approval of product cost objectives
? Planning and monitoring co-design contracts
? Monitoring Target Costing activities
? Program Management of development/industrialization activities of co-designers
? Monitoring new product cost progression (variable costs and investments)
? Management of critical situations in development/industrialization phases (prototype also)
? Support to product qualification activities within Platforms
? Monitoring APQP/PPAP activities of Supplier Quality to qualify suppliers production process
? Monitoring Platform assessment phases of proposals generated in Platform Team in order to guarantee the respect of project milestones
? Promote and monitor application of product modifications deriving from opportunities identified within Cost Reduction Teams and within Purchasing joint inter-functional activities

SAIC Fiat Powertrain HongYan Co. Ltd. is a joint venture enterprise established by three parties of SAIC-IVECO Commercial Vehicle Investment Co. Ltd. , Fiat Powertrain Technologies and Chongqing Heavy Vehicle (Group) Co., Ltd. The company was established in June 2007 and locates in CETZ, Chongqing .

The business of joint venture will be to design, develop, assemble and produce the engines and their parts and components, and supply spare parts and related after-sale services.
