Responsibilities:

Principal accountabilities shall include but not be limited to:

Delivery
1.Devise/Maintain/circulate master production schedule for BCH to suit ongoing customer requirements, including scenario planning.
2.Carry out detailed and rough cut capacity analysis for the factory, to check feasibility of the production plan.
3.Give advice to workshop managers in terms of capacity requirements
4.Determine requirements for strategic materials to meet the production programme.
5.Determine & communicate programme of material requirements from other Brush Factories to support BCH schedule.
6.Local scheduling of plant bottlenecks and other workshops
7.Management of BCH Production Planning department
8.Management of Planning data in ERP system
Innovation
9.Generate ideas to reduce cost & improve throughput

Communication/Reporting
1.Create and issue shopfloor production programmes.
2.Detailed progress monitoring and reporting
3.Chair production meetings
4.Co-ordinate with other functions (Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance etc.)
5.Liaise regularly with other members of the Operations team
6.Provide reports versus agreed targets and deadlines as required
7.Assist with audits

Planning/Organizing
1.Set up & manage Planning Department
2.Coordinate work of multiple Departments
3.Able to organise own work time in conjunction with rest of team.

Internal and external relationship
1.Work closely with operations colleagues internal & external.
2.Communicate regularly & clearly with senior management.
3.External relationships with key suppliers
4.Support set up of materials purchasing systems

Requirements:

1.Engineering Degree
2.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in production planning function of an Engineering/Capital Equipment business
3.Strong Chinese & English language skills, written and spoken
4.Experience of modern ERP system
5.MS Acess and/or MS Project (high level)
6.Experience working within a Lean Manufacturing environment
