JOB TITLE: Lead Engineer – E/E Vehicle Validation
DEPARTMENT: Electrics & Electronics
REPORTS TO: Group Leader
HIERARCHY: L3
Objectives of the Job:
1. E/E systems/vehicle test plan, test execution and issue management by means of vehicle intensive test along E/E integration planning
2. VIT vehicles upgrade and maintenance.
3. Execute the package under his responsibility independently.
4. Coach and train engineers in this area.
5. Work location: Beijing
Main Duties:
1. Perform systematic and stochastic vehicle testing, take measurements and logs, documentation of test results according to test plan.
2. Test shall cover whole E/E scope, with a big focus on infotainment and connectivity area.
3. Report errors in error tracking system. Verify, analyze and confirm errors on subsystem or vehicle level and document it.
4. Generate status reports according to template.
5. Planning and coordination of vehicle upgrade according to Integration plan: request the logistic and parts procurement; control the upgrade progress.
6. Perform vehicle HW and SW updates, prepare all documentation of the vehicle status
7. Plan and realization of test events (summer testing, winter testing) including travel planning, vehicle planning, coordination with process partners and project.
8. Responsible to plan, organize and integrate data loggers of the vehicles.
Qualification:
1. Engineering Degree or Equivalent Qualification.
2. 5 years’ experience in automotive Electrics/Electronics testing in general, test and validation of electrical systems, subsystems and components, especially in infotainment area (e.g. Display & Multimedia, navigation, Bluetooth, Car-play/Android-Auto) and apps (e.g. weather, office) validation
3. Experience in test and problem management
4. Integration of complex systems, experienced with test and measurement equipment like data logger.
5. Very good knowledge of network communication and diagnostic standards.
6. Experience to work with HV system on either EV or PHEV.
7. Experienced driver, practical knowledge of driving dynamics. Proven ground driving certification is preferred.
8. Good communication ability in English, German is a good plus.
9. Open mind and team work with people from different cultures.
10. Willing to work in Beijing.
