JOB TITLE: Lead Engineer – Instrument Cluster
DEPARTMENT: Electric / Electronics
REPORTS TO: Group leader
HIERARCHY: L3
Objectives of the Job:
1. With the request of the Group leader or Module Leader, execute & fulfill the part design & development independently,
2. Ensure on time delivery of the deliverables with high quality and customer satisfaction.
3. Help the new team members to get integrated into the organization.
Main Duties:
1. Design and develop instrument cluster, or manage supplier to design and develop interfaces to the information cluster (including hybrid systems). Technically support to other departments, customers and suppliers.
2. Collect and analyze technical requirements from customer
3. Packaging study, homologation investigation, technology feasibility analysis
4. Create specification, define functionalities and interfaces for infotainment & IC
5. Monitoring supplier to deliver functionalities according to functionality release steps, reviewing and tracking of all relevant supplier documentation.
6. Interface with test team, supplier and customer regarding function release steps. Follow up integration issues of IC functions and performance on tests area-- vehicle intensive testing, Labcar testing and bench testing according to functionality release steps
7. Work with OEM together to manage suppliers with weekly reviews and reports
8. Analyze failures and prepare failure reports, prepare proposals with suppliers together to close open issues
Qualification:
1. Bachelor degree or above, Electrical, electronics, automotive or related majority
2. More than 4 years’ experience on automotive electronic system, familiar with infotainment & instrument cluster development, or HMI interface.
3. Good knowledge of application software, API of basic software package, and diagnosis on vehicle electronics systems
4. Work experience in OEM or tier 1 supplier is preferred
5. Familiar with international standards and regulations for IC.
6. Familiar with computer simulation & engineering development applications for IC module
7. Capable of using CANoe, DTS, and other related tools
8. Good MS office skills: excel, word, power point, etc...
9. Self-motivation, open mind, good communication skills
10. Good Chinese and English language skills: read, write, listen and speak
