Candidate will be responsible for providing regional coverage of field support services for International Aero Engines (IAE) at the customer site in Chengdu, China. Candidate will be required to work closely with the customer powerplant engineering groups and other support organizations at their facility to resolve service problems encountered during the operation, maintenance and repair of the IAE V2500 engine. Provide timely and high quality responses to customer technical inquiries by using own technical expertise along with all of the resources and support available from IAE. Provide engine/engine part failure root cause analysis for all unscheduled engine removals and other required follow-up investigations for engine/component damage or malfunction. Maintain the relevant maintenance databases, as applicable, interfacing with the various customer organizations to obtain the required data elements Provide technical support to the customer to make the product serviceable after incident and help the customer in developing corrective actions required to eliminate similar cases in the future. Take an active part in the incorporation of modifications such as reliability improvement initiatives, controlled service usage programs and other upgrade programs. Under the Supervision of the Customer Fleet Director, support the IAE customer team in any other relevant customer support, commercial, technical, or administrative matters.

Candidate must be able to work independently and interface professionally with customers to solve complex technical issues while complying with applicable regulatory and company requirements.

Education requirements include a BS/BA in engineering, or equivalent, with 5-10 years of technical aviation experience. Good all around technical knowledge of IAE product and services is a plus.

The candidate must be a current resident of China or surrounding area, be fluent in English, proficient in Microsoft Office and all applicable engine data base systems.
