Sales Manager (South China) – Embassy English
Based in Guangzhou
Embassy English, English Education Division

Job Purpose:
* To manage and service all bookings and inquiries out of South China from the agent network, including driving year on year student week volume and revenue growth for Embassy English. Reports to Deputy Director, Greater China

Key Responsibilities:
* To drive South China Sales year on year into Embassy campuses globally above pre-determined target for Individuals, Summer and Group Business
* To manage agent and/or student enquiries professionally and courteously from Guangzhou, in particular key Guangzhou partners + South China agent network for bookings into Embassy’s five main regions (USA, Canada, UK, Australia and NZ)
* To manage any questions or enquiries professionally and courteously that may arise from current agent bookings for students who may already be on campus
* To actively promote/sell Embassy courses to the South China agent network
* To inform the market of the Embassy pricing structure, specials and promotions, demographic and accommodation options currently on offer
* To assist the Deputy Director – Greater China in the support of key Embassy accounts
* To answer emails and calls in a prompt and reliable manner
* To develop knowledge of the Embassy region as a whole, including all facets of Embassy’s operations
* To function as a willing and active participant in the Embassy APAC and Global Sales team, and uphold Embassy + Study Group’s values as stated in the Study Group Mission Statement
* To liaise with IAC and campuses to maximise each students Embassy experience to positive effect
* Reports to the Deputy Director, Greater China
* Attend recruitment fairs/seminars (including weekends) where required
* Collate and send/deliver brochures as requested by agents

Experience Required:
* Sales experience in a target setting environment, particularly in the English language education field (desirable)
* A responsible, target-oriented, self-motivated and self-disciplined individual with integrity
* Highly developed interpersonal skills and influencing skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of clients and staff from different levels within the organisation; Strong negotiating skills.
* Strong systems and process focus and able to create and sustain an operational best practice framework
* Good self-knowledge having the propensity to analyse successes and failures and determine areas for improvement; Demonstrated ability to learn quickly when faced with new problems.
* Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
* Attentive to organizational culture and the impact of change on organizational values, business customs and practice
* At least Upper Intermediate level of written and spoken English
* Strong IT skills with ability to analyze and prepare reports
* Willing to travel
