Job Description
Plan, direct and control the master plan for product and process launches. Manage and prioritize resources to support prompt delivery of customers' expectations with top quality.
Formulate, drive and execute factory's engineering strategies in line with corporate mission and innovative technology development. Manage plant industrialization including planning, budgeting, documentation, coordination, feasibility and cost effectiveness studies in respect of health, safety and environmental standards.
Build a robust Engineering capability within the organization to ensure products and process design are feasible and conform to customers' quality specifications.
Define maintenance plan - improve and maintain the plant layout and work with Area Manager and Manufacturing Excellence on optimization of the flows.
Manage standardization across all departments and assure consistent application of Engineering standards and requirements.
Direct manufacturing development and engineering resources for the next generation of products, product systems, markets and the continuous renewal of growth and profitability.
Act as a supporting role to production (customers) in case of complex production problems. Establish and maintain strong industrial network and develop appropriate platforms to strengthen the partnership between the company and the automotive industry in China. Represent the company and the plant in relevant local engineering-related networks.
Lead, motivate and develop subordinates to ensure they are competent to achieve work expectations.
At minimum Degree or tertiary education in Engineering disciplines (Mechanical or Electrical is preferred).


Job Requirements
At minimum 7 years relevant experience in Automotive field and/or related manufacturing processes (high-precision metal stamping, forming and welding) in China, preferably in Chongqing.
Knowledge and experience with automotive engineering standards, especially for metal parts, and related manufacturing process steps.
Experience in TS16949 automotive quality management system is a definite advantage.
Demonstrated experience to work with design teams located overseas, ability to communicate between these design teams and local customers in terms of technical requirements and proposals.
Working experience with Western MNC is highly preferred.
Project management experience-participation in and achievement of productivity and continuous improvement projects.
Knowledge in Lean & Six Sigma methodologies is preferable.
Good planning, organizing, controlling and analytical skills.
Self-motivation, strong leadership competencies and with foresight in technology development
Change leadership and achievement orientation, assertive and result-oriented, crisis and conflict management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and high integrity.
Proficient in English-possess the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing using English.
