About Audit and Assurance

About Accounting Consulting Services (ACS)
Our team comprise partners, directors and professional staff whom are based in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore and Taiwan. We are an active part of Global ACS – a network of specialist accounting consultants, which has been established to promote worldwide consistency in financial reporting advice. Our objective is to give consistent, timely and high quality guidance on the application of IFRS and CAS. Engagement teams and others within the firm look to us for expert advice. The current regulatory environment means that we have to be at the top of our game. We are not just a helpline. We review financial statements, answer consultation in complex accounting areas, write articles, influence standard-setters and regulators, train staff, talk to the media and lead the debate externally and internally.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
Accounting Consulting Services (ACS) is the coordinating function specialising in accounting consulting services related to the consistent application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and China Accounting Standards (CAS).

In ACS, you will develop the skills needed to advance your career within PwC. The opportunities within ACS are:

• Exposure to complex accounting issues
• Work on cutting-edge accounting developments and influencing the standard-setting process
• Work on interesting projects with colleagues in the industry groups, with other global colleagues and other national firms
• Do presentations to the assurance practice and to clients

It is an excellent way to develop a different set of skills in a critical and high-profile role.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in any discipline
• Professionally qualified
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in sizeable public accounting firms
• Experience in the banking industry an advantage
• Strong technical expertise on the application of IFRS and CAS
• Fluency in both spoken and written English. Ability to communicate in Chinese and to speak Mandarin preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A team player with demonstrated leadership skills
