HFT Shanghai Co., Ltd. is a Halma ( http://www.halma.com/ ) company that supports Halma's Fluid Technology Division, which consists of 5 subsidiary companies in the U.S making critical components/devices such as valves & pumps, probes & connectors, gas sample conditioning devices and mass flow meters etc. These products are widely used by scientific, environmental, medical and industry instrument manufacturers for demanding fluid handling applications.

Job Summary:
The job of a manufacturing engineer is a highly qualified position, to plan, design, arrange, change, optimize, and supervise a manufacturing process. Manufacturing engineers are creative and analytical thinkers as well as designers. The main responsibility of manufacturing engineer is to create, document, develop, and implement procedures and fixtures/equipments required to assemble, test, process, and manufacture the products of the company.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting manufacturing processes.
2. Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
3. Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput with lean methodology
4. Collaborating with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
5. Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
6. Estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
7. Working closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
8. Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
9. Creating and maintaining accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with the R&D and quality assurance functions.
10. Providing engineering support in production department to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
11. Coordinating work with tool room personnel, assigned technicians, and outside vendors.
12. Supporting company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, local regulations, and goods manufacturing practices.
13. Maintains safety and quality standards at all times.
14. All other duties as assigned.
Relationships & Roles:
Works closely with Production staff to identify and resolve problems
Qualification/requirements:
University degree in electronic & mechanic engineering, Chinese/ Mandarin (native speaker); good in English (spoken and written)
A minimum of 5 years working experience in technical and manufacturing operations
Knowledge of manufacturing concepts.
Ability to grasp modern technology quickly.
Must be a good communicator.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior.
Working knowledge of MS Office
