GENERAL SUMMARY:

1. Work for long term dedicated Offshore Development Center management which includes multiples projects involving project initiation, scoping, planning, tracking, status reporting and closing;

2. Launch and execute initiatives inside Offshore Development Center

3. Work on team resource management including resource staffing, coaching and performance evaluating and resource retention;

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties

1. Responsible for the overall results of all the projects under supervision. This includes:

i. On time delivery of defined project deliverables.

ii. Meet predefined quality standards in terms of functional quality, documentation quality and code quality.

iii. Overall project cost control with predefined control band

iv. Good compliance to project management process and policies.

2. Proactively communicates and manages risks both internally and with the clients.

3. Make project plan and track project schedule and cost against the plan using Earned Value metrics.

4. Manage project team to ensure professional behavior and appearance.

5. People management for project resources including coaching, mentoring, career planning and development for subordinates.

6. Status reporting on project status to senior project managers and project management office.

7 Provide coaching, mentoring and supervision of junior project managers and team leads regarding overall project management skill and resource management skill.

8. Manage customer relationship under help from ODC manager. Proactively ensure overall customer satisfactory.

9. Follow company English Only policy and take responsibility of team policy compliance.

Position Requirements

Functional Competencies:

1. PMP certified, more than 3 years experience using MS Project or any other project management tool.

2. Good business analysis capability, be able to transfer customer's needs into software requirement.

3. Strong technical background of Java, J2EE design and programming

4. Excellent ability of using Excel, PowerPoint for status reporting and presentation. Be able to address customer concerns through presentation;

5. Master at least multiple project estimation methods;

6. Good master of Earned Value and precedence diagrams preferred.

7. Good master of Rational Unified Process, CMM and other popular software development best practice is a plus

Experience:

1. 5 years or above working experience in software development industry;

2. 3 years work experience with project management.

3. Working experience with US or European customer is plus

4. Outsourcing experience is plus

5. Multiple concurrent projects management experience is plus
