Overview
This Regional Distribution Manager will be based in Shenzhen, joining an elite sales organization that strives to deliver innovative solutions that add value to Maxim’s customers. As part of our dynamic sales team, you will work to develop a winning strategy to grow design wins, customer relationships, revenue growth, and Maxim's overall position in the semiconductor market. This position will have high visibility within all departments of Maxim and requires account ownership and accountability.
Reporting Structure
This is an individual contributor role but may have one direct report per potential capabilities. The RDM will directly report to the Sales Director of the Distribution team.
Tasks & Responsibilities
? Implement the agreed distribution strategy in assigned territory.
? Plan and execute end customer penetration with the distributors’ sales team.
? Manage projects in the region together with local Maxim sales/FAE, the distributors, and the business units.
? Drive market segments in the region with the focus products.
? Generic business development tasks related to efficiency enhancement.
? Provide feedback to the business units and the sales management on Design in, Distributor Registration, POS.
? Train, develop and retain a competent distribution workforce.
? Liaise with the drivers, encouraging clear, open and concise communication.
? Interface with relevant customer contacts on behalf of Maxim.
? Communicate and network effectively at all levels with customers, distributors in the assigned region.
Qualifications & Skills
? Bachelor degree of engineering, plus commercial qualifications are of advantage.
? 5 + years experience in Semiconductors, at least 2+ years of experience working in a similar environment.
? Background with disty demand creation management would be preferred.
? Proved track record in producing results and building long-term customer relationship.
? Consultative selling and communication skills.
? Good mixture of commercial sense and technical understanding.
? Creativity and optimism.
? Pro-active attitude and ability to work with little supervision.
? Team player who is able to inspire others.
