职位描述

This position is based in Nanba, Dazhou . Work schedule is 28 days on, 28 days off. Company will provide accommodations on days on. Transportation is to be provided from home location to Nanba. Salary is paid 12 month period. Please provide CV in English.

Key Job Responsibilities

The technical operations trainer is responsible for the competency identification, development and training of equipment specific subject matter expert trainers and all operations personnel in the production operations department of CDB’s sour gas processing facilities. This is a highly specialized, technical role responsible for the competency development and technical training of gas plant and field operations personnel. It will require interface and collaboration with other engineering specialist from vendors (equipment), operation, maintenance and commissioning departments. The equipment complexity and complex control loops will require a trainer with expert level understanding of the sour gas plant process and equipment. The role will require training, mentoring and coaching of operating engineering supervisors, technicians and operators on these complex systems and equipment. Additionally, this role is responsible for the mentoring and development of operations training coordinator assignees from the operating division while on special assignment in the competency development group.

1. Analyze competencies, identify training development needs for Equipment Expert Trainer and all Operations Department Personnel in plant and field (wells and well pads) operations.
- Responsible for identifying competencies, levels of expertise and mapping training to competencies for technical positions within the production operations group. Works with the Validation and Verification (V&V) coordinator for this.
- Responsible for engaging operations management for gap assessment and training strategy development for technical operations training.
- Assists and consults in decisions on all training issues.
- Works with Engineering to understand design or technical changes that will be updated or reflected in refresher training for Ops./Maint. groups.
- Interfacing and attending every discipline involved in the project and related with DCS scope to achieve the goals efficiently.
- Advises operations management team on operations technical competencies for career progressions.
- Coordinates all the activities of the Operator Training Program Development, training plans and implementation of the Field and Plant Operator, initial, and supplemental training.

2. Develop training process, and continuous improve training process
- Develop the process of operations training program(s) for the plant and field operation groups. Includes gas gathering, wells and well pads, tail gas unit, sulfur recovery unit, sulfur removal unit, dehydration unit, air and nitrogen, waste water and boiler operations unit school training material to teach the operations personnel the process theory, equipment operations, process operation and control, abnormal operations and emergencies.
- Document the training method, instructor skill set, evaluation method and QAQC plan for each training venue working closely with CDG’s validation and verification coordinator position.
- Responsible to lead the Competency Development/Employee training process on behalf of the CDG and to coach and mentor other functional groups on this process.
- Executes the continuous improvement process of technical translation for CDG work processes, procedures and documents with CDG’s Validation and Verification coordinator.
- Ensures the Formal Training Programs are designed fit for purpose for each department and incorporates formal theoretical and practical training delivery and competency evaluations
- Designs and continually improves the Formal Technical Training Programs for Operations, Maintenance and Laboratory in collaboration with functional departments, ensuring that each Formal Training program incorporates PRC regulatory requirements and PRC job skills qualification requirements.
- Assists in the development of the Formal Lab Training Program for Facility Engineering

3. Develop, review and update training materials bilingual-Chinese and English
- Develop and deliver training materials required for specialized technical training needs, such as instrumentation, mechanical, or operational changes.
- Incorporate vendor data from vendor training material and operation manuals.
- Interface with equipment vendors for technical training and equipment vendor manuals.
- Provides translation reviews for technical accuracy for materials being developed for training in both Chinese and English.
- Provides input into the CDB glossary of Technical terms and phrases to support the technical translator
- Provides the technical language input for the Technical Language Enhancement Program to increase technical language competency for translation staff and other bilingual staff.
- Provides technical reviews on technical documents for Production Operations training to ensure proper translation.
- Works closely with the Technical Translator to understand Ops/Main. terminology for proper translations.
- Aids in tracking Management Of Changes (MOC) that need to be reflected in training materials.
- Reviews all Distributed Control System (DCS) training materials for technical accuracy.
- Engages in DCS activities to understand technical reviews for system updates.

4. Conduct trainings, mentor and coach to trainers in CDG
- Coordinates, and provides hands on training following the Formal Operations & Maintenance Training programs.
- Delivers on-site training for Production Ops., theoretical, hands on instruction for the Field/Plant personnel.
- Delivers technical, safety and compliance training as needed to support the CDG
- Responsible to train, coach and mentor trainer technical assignees to the competency development group.
- Mentors, trains and contributes to the development of national staff in training best practice and key Competency Development process elements. This will be for operations training personnel on assignment within the Competency Development Group.
- The Technical Reviewer/ Trainer’s focus is primarily plant and field (wells and well pads) operations technical training programs. Demands on the Competency Development Group may necessitate their involvement to coordinate, develop or deliver technical training for other functional groups as well.
- Responsible for the mentoring and development of operations training coordinator assignees from the operating division while on assignment in the competency development group.
- Responsible for mentoring and developing assignees from operations on technical training for gas plant and field operations processes. This also includes the formal training process.
- Engages in on boarding training for newly hired employees using theoretical, on the job, practical, job skills improvement training for operations and maintenance personnel as required to meet CDB business needs. Provides direction to other personnel involved in training for development of methodological documentation (training programs, manuals, recommendations).

5. Others
- Provides support to Distributed Control System (DCS) technical training classes both in development and delivery as needed,
- Provides technical support to Training Coordinators for Operations and Maintenance when required.
Performance Indicators:
- 100% fulfillment ratio of production training plan.
- 100% work safety performance; implementation of training programs, disciplines and operating instructions.
- 100% completion in Formal Operations Training Program objectives for Console Operator progression.
- 100% engagement in formal training programs.

Job Requirements

- Will accept work experience in lieu of academic preparation
- Education: Undergraduate or higher degree
- Professional and Technical Title: Oil and Gas Trainer/Technical writer
- Professional Background: Chemical, Oil & Gas technology
- Work Experience: Ten years or more work experience on Chemical, Oil and Gas industry.
- Comprehensive Quality: Qualified through “moral character, ability, diligence, performance” evaluation; familiar with process flows, process technology, production coordination and operating procedures; good command of ability on comprehensive analysis, judgment and written communication skills; be familiar with structures, DCS operating principles and Console operation methods for safe operation of the plant; be familiar with updates, systems structures & maintenance requirements of equipment.
- CETS 4 or higher
- Strong safety background and understand compliance requirements within the Gas Production industry.
