This position is based in Nanba, Dazhou . Work schedule is 28 days on, 28 days off. Company will provide accommodations on days on. Transportation is to be provided from home location to Nanba. Salary is paid 12 month period. Please provide CV in English.

Key Job Responsibilities

Technical Translation / Interpretation:
-Provide day-to-day oral and written Plant and Field Maintenance interpretation and translation for the Maintenance Team. Expected to be Subject Matter Expert (SME) of technical terms and concepts used in production operations maintenance.
-Will serve as a key member of the Nanba Incident Emergency Management Team (IEMT) providing critical and accurate translation to operations staff in crisis situations.
-Provide oral translation for meetings / training sessions with staff, government officials, contractors, and vendors.
-Translate and review complex Plant and Field Maintenance documents including equipment manuals, maintenance instructions, procedures, equipment check sheets, maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, maintenance daily and weekly reports, emails, inspections / audit reports, and other documentation as needed. Also check the quality of translation of others who also translate these items for the maintenance department.
-Liaison with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Interpreter pool interpreters and other Nanba based interpreters to perform large or fast turnaround translation works required both in and out of the Maintenance Team.
-Assist with complex translation and interpretation of Maintenance PM Check Sheets, Standard Repair Procedures, and contract documents.
-In charge of the Maintenance Technical Library, including initial set up, performs edits to technical documents, keep current technical documents up to date with current information.

Technical Translation Organizational Capability:
-Generate and maintain the dictionary of CDB technical terms and other reference material as required; cultivating the overall competency of the linguist staff in the CDB maintenance area. Should be familiar with gas processing terms, general construction terms, craft discipline maintenance terms and industrial safety terms.
-Review, correct, and provide constructive feedback to other members of the Nanba linguist community on written and oral translations. Will fill in for the Maintenance Technical Assistant when required.

Safety Focus :
-Works closely with Maintenance Superintendent and Maintenance Supervisors to assist with the implementation of safety training, behavioral based safety observation (BBS) program, compliance reviews, audits, Root Cause Analysis (RCA’s), emergency preparedness, near-miss / incidents reporting, safety meetings, and process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

-Must have a minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in PetroChemical Industry as Interpreter / Translator

-Have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in any one of the applied science disciplines.
-Bachelor’s of Science in English (Linguist)
-Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical (Static or Rotating Equipment) Engineering
-Bachelor’s of Science in Instrumentation
-Bachelor’s of Science in Automations
-Must have good organization and planning skills
-Must be able to work extended hours, emergency call-outs
