职位描述

Primary Objective

Develop and implement sales and business development strategies to ensure the business achieves its financial results, to carry on an overall thoughts and actions to those businesses which are not covered and not in range of current client portfolio i.e new end users or shipyards.


Specific Accountabilities

?Manage across multiple divisions. Assess, plan and implement sales initiatives/objectives as directed by the business manager.
?Direct the business strategy and take pipeline measurement and action planning on a time bases,
?Asses and implement appropriate sales reporting structures to business manager
?Implement sales tools to support required project
?Achieve agreed sales budgets, revenue and gross profit
?Develop and maintain an efficient, effective and cooperative work group taking any corrective action required to ensure the achievement of business goal
?Direct the business development activities and act as the key liaison between Corporate operation team
?Assess market potential of business development opportunities. Evaluate and monitor competitive activities and develop reliable market data. Recommend strategic defences and tactics.
?Co-ordinate strategic key client tender preparation and presentations to clients.
?Oversee the evaluation of pricing requirements and recommend selling/pricing strategies for business development efforts. Provide support to the field management team for the express purpose of promoting profitable sales activity.
?Create business opportunities in the market via relationship, business liaisons and business partnerships


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification to degree level or equivalent is preferred. Management, marketing and sales courses are desired.


Knowledge and experience

The Business Development Manager must have experience marine industries over 5 years They also must have a high degree of team leadership, working with other department managers, computer literacy, and strong sales management skills.

Specific position requirements:

?Current drivers licence.
?Intrastate travel
