REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Competencies: Skills, knowledge, & abilities
Functional Competencies:
? Familiarity with multi-tiered networks
? Ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make judgment decisions and recommendations as to their solution
? Knowledge of Ecommerce networking
? Ability to articulate advanced technical topics (e.g. tcp protocol analysis)
? Unix shell prowess
? Ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make judgment decisions and recommendations as to their solution
? Ability to write project plans, lead cross functional project teams and lead problem-solving activities
? Play leadership role in crisis situations
? Ability to work on multiple projects and reprioritize as needed.
? Ability to stay on project or hand-off schedule and manage own time accurately and effectively
? Direct experience with managing multi site data center production environments

Interpersonal Competencies:
? Provide technical guidance to Service and Support staff, Application Development staff or less experienced network engineers.
? Excellent written and verbal communication
? Work well with business representatives and PM’s
? Communicate with multiple project teams and PM’s
? Provides technical guidance to Service and Support staff, Application Development staff or less experienced network engineers.
? Ability to work on multiple projects and reprioritize as needed
? Ability to stay on project or hand-off schedule and manage own time accurately and effectively
? Proactively escalate issues appropriately to manager and provides recommended solutions
? Able to work in a team environment

? Keeps tech lead informed of progress, issues, and changes.
? Communicate with business point person and PM’s as necessary

Leadership Competencies:
? Able to assess competencies of technical team and make appropriate work assignments.
? Ability to lead architectural design teams and lead problem-solving activities.
? Facilitation and team-building skills at all levels.
? Ability to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others, including Directors and above, to achieve objectives

Skill Competencies
? Experienced with Perl/Chef
? 2 years in Cacti, Nagios (or similar monitoring tools and applications)
? Familiarity with source control systems, preferably CVS

2) Experience:
? Supported and led projects with multiple customers
? Created projects at a module level.
? Demonstrated effectiveness by successfully leading large scale complex projects
? Supported projects through all phases: vision development; selling; design; develop; deploy; and has supported the product when operational
? Some partner experience with line of businesses
? Experience as a technical lead on a team of at least 3 engineers
? Experience with analyzing business requirements and designing solutions

3) Minimum educational level:
? B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience
