Senior international sales management role for leading UK and Europe Higher Education portfolio
This critical role will focus entirely on the UK and Europe International Study Centre (ISC) portfolio. Based within the University campuses, the ISCs deliver University validated and approved programmes, preparing international students for progression onto the host University’s undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
We are seeking a commercial, results-oriented individual who will grow our business through outstanding management of the
student recruitment team, and execution of a multi-channel sales and marketing strategy.
The position will be based in Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou and include regular internal travel in China as well as occasional
travel to the UK, Europe and other markets.
The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Director Student Recruitment.
Key Accountabilities
· Leading the ISC UK & Europe sales team to grow sales through established channels of key partner education agents, feeder schools and direct to students.
· Work with the ISC Leadership, Partner and Feeder teams to develop multi-channel growth strategies to deliver revenue, profit and student diversity targets
· Participate in target setting and negotiation withthe Partner teams
· Liaising between Study Group admissions team, agency/feeder network and our campuses in the UK to ensure a high quality partnership, including resolution of enrolment and student service issues
· Lead the team to deliver conversion activities including attendance at events and discussions with potential students and
parents, offering compelling education advice and guidance
· Representing the ISCs and Study Group at key promotional events
· Gaining and providing in-depth market knowledge on the UK international academic market
· Support the leadership of a best in class sales team through setting and communicating high standards of performance and
behavior
Financial management
· Proactively participates in target setting and negotiation with the Partner and Accounts teams
· Manage costs within assigned regional budget
· Monitor the sales pipeline and look for scalable sales opportunities across team.
· Ensure accurate financial reporting requirements are met
· Delivers specific financial initiatives that will ensure the business plan is achieved
Client Relationship
· Articulate and support our customer value proposition to ensure we differentiate against competitive offerings
· Recording of all contacts, meetings communications and presentations with clients in the new CRM system and ensuring that the rest of the team do so.

Qualifications & Training
· Tertiary educated, preferably from a university in the UK. or Europe
· Fluency in English, and preferably Chinese
· CRM knowledge, preferably salesforce.com
Experience Required:
· Experience in successfully leading a sales team.
· Experience in product sales and marketing through both an agency and direct distribution model
· A commercially savvy product specialist with a successful track record in delivering results personally
· Experience in successfully executing conversion and sales strategies
· Experience identifying a customer’s business drivers and influencing their buying behaviour in line with a customer value proposition
· Knowledge and understanding of the international student marketplace and the challenges within this industry
Attributes:
· Experience in successfully planning and executing challenging sales and marketing strategies, through both an agency distribution and direct network
· Experience leading a geographically remote team within a key account management model
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and change and the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver.
· Understanding a customer’s business drivers, developing solutions and influencing their buying behaviour in line with an organisation’s customer value proposition
· Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong commercial and business acumen
· Engaging and collaborating with key people within a matrix and ‘virtual’ organisation, including ability to gain commitment from others for joint success
· Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as demonstrated ability to proactively and effectively work in a team environment
· Professional maturity and enthusiasm
