Job Summary
Aids in the coordination of the global business unit’s planning functions in the various Jabil sites where the business unit manufactures product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures that the Master Production Schedule is loaded in alignment with customer contract(s) and liability agreements
Drives a systematic process to receive, evaluate and fulfill customer demand across the business unit.
Ensures the execution and deployment of Jabil’s standard planning strategies and systems where possible, and implement customized solutions where necessary.
Manages the overall demand plan and capacity analysis for the business unit.
Balances capacity across manufacturing sites as required.
Ensures that an achievable Master Schedule is in place to support both customer requirements and Jabil revenue projections. In developing a solid MPS, consideration must be given to materials availability, equipment capability/capacity and staffing.
Develops and supervises solid product launch plans for new business, and transfer plans for products being moved between Jabil manufacturing sites.
Evaluates the need for buffer inventory during the transfer process.
Ensures continuity of product supply to the Jabil manufacturing site(s), and of finished goods to the customer throughout the transfer timeframe.
Participates in Jabil’s monthly forecast cycle with BUM and Operations Management as required.
Anticipates, meets and/or exceeds customer expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively. Make customer issues a priority.
Serves as an escalation point for the customer and workcell materials employees, as required.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Materials Logistics Management, or related discipline.
Three years related experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Solid understanding of electronics manufacturing and materials planning is required.
Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
