Being part of the Server Technologies team at Oracle, ODIEE delivers an easy to use graphical user interface for many core database features. Within the ODIEE team you will be working with such features as Partitioning, Parallel Load capabilities, Real Application Clusters, Analytic SQL, OLAP and Business Intelligence. The tool is an ideal window into many Oracle technologies, not just for our customers, but also for our developers.

Our dynamic development team includes talented, highly motivated people who enjoy using the latest technology to work on a complex and strategic product. The ODI team has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, feature-rich releases to our customers at a fast pace.

To deliver our tool, we build ODI using Java and all the latest technologies surrounding Java. We also use SQL, PL/SQL, UML (Unified Modeling Language) object modeling, HTML, and XML technologies within the development environment. There is a wealth of skills to learn and use, both in building the product and in the before mentioned Oracle technologies.

We primarily develop ODI at Oracle’s Head Quarter campus in Redwood Shores, California, U.S.A., other locations in the U.S., the U.K., India, and, at Oracle Asia Research and Development Center in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, China.

Brief Posting Description

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Job Requirements

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Additional Details

As a senior member of technical staff, you’ll be responsible for all phases of software development on Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition.

This position is for China only.

Qualifications:

* MS in Computer Science, or related fields with heavy focus on Computer Science.

* Strong hands-on skills with Java, Object-oriented design and programming

* Strong knowledge of data warehousing, relational database concepts and in depth knowledge of one popular Database

* Strong software engineering, debugging and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Experience working on a commercial software development project

* Good working knowledge of Linux

* Having project lead role is a big plus

Good verbal and written communication skills in English
