Function Description:

Novatek Microelectronics Corp. is a worldwide Top-10 fabless chip design company specializing in the design, development and sales of a wide range of display driver ICs & SoC solutions that help our worldwide customers meet emerging needs for sophisticated flat-panel display applications and audio/video applications for all digital devices. Advanced Video Technologies Group in Novatek (Xi’an) Co., Ltd. is responsible of cutting-edge video/image algorithm designs for SoC and FRC Video Co-Processor ICs in digital televisions, set-top boxes, mobile devices and cameras.

Our organization is looking for a Senior/Principal Algorithm Designer to work with other algorithm engineers, HW/SW development engineers in the group to research and develop advanced video processing techniques, including

？ Intelligent Image/video post processing;

？ Super-resolution, resolution enhancement;

？ Noise and artifact reduction;

？ De-interlacing or, interlaced to progressive conversion;

？ Color Science & Color management;

？ Frame rate conversion; motion estimation, motion compensation;

？ Stereo video processing: Depth estimation, depth control;

？ Object detection and recognition

Responsibilities:

？ Innovate on novel algorithms, application concepts and system architectures

？ Research to Algorithm Design, Prototype and Documentation

？ Work with Advanced Development Team to transfer algorithm into IPs in product

？ Provide consultancy support on PQ tuning during customer design-in

？ Contribute to enhance company IP portfolio by patents/patent applications

？ Publish papers on top-conference

？ Enhance Company-Academia relationships

Travel Percentage:

？ < 5%

Requirements:

？ Proved innovation skills in video processing domain, at least 5 years’ related experience, preferred 8- 10 years.

？ Experience on project management and time management during multi-tasks.

？ Familiar with GPGPU is a plus.

？ Excellent documentation & presentation skills.

？ Innovative, systematic and pragmatic

？ Good inter-personal skills and open to discussions.

？ C, MATLAB
