Career opportunities in Credit Risk - Hong Leong Bank’s Associate Consumer Finance Company based in China.
The position is a secondment from Hong Leong Bank Group (HLB) to Sichuan Jincheng Consumer Finance Limited Company (“JCCFC”). Candidate will be part of the HLB International Banking – China team, he/she will be based in Chengdu, China and will be reporting to General Manager of JCCFC, with matrix reporting to designated COO in HLB.
The position offers career opportunity for the incumbent to join the HLB group in Asia and potentially could lead to job opportunities in HLB expansion in China.
Responsibilities:
1.Assist the general manager to organize, manage and implement the credit and risk management programs to support the business growth.
2.Establish the the risk management framework, with oversight on the management of the functions of credit underwriting, fraud control, , collection and risk management functions, to minimize the credit, fraud and operation risks, to achieve operational efficiency , receivables quality and business growth goals.
3.Formulate the credit and risk policy, establish the credit standard, balance the risk and profit, support the long-term healthy development of the company; monitor the market and environment changes, risk factor, improve the credit risk strategy;
4.Liaise with regulators and parent companies on credit policy, analysis and reporting
5.Responsible for the implementation of other related action plans as directed by the company;
6.Support Board Risk Committee in overall risk management
7.Other ad hoc assignments, including support of HLB China and BOCD consumer credit management functions.
Requirements:
1.Bachelor degree and above, major in finance, law, economics, business management.
2.At least 10 years relevant working experience, strong knowledge and experience in credit operation framework and processes, risk management and underwriting in banking industry, particularly in credit card or unsecured consumer credit. Advantageous to have at least 5 years management experience in credit approval, collections and fraud control.
3.Team player, analytical mind, able to lead and motivate, balance approach to support business growth and risk control, hardworking, strong organizational and execution ability, good communication and interpersonal skill.
4.Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
5.Working experience in foreign bank in China would be advantageous.
